It is finally starting to feel and taste like spring in DC! Local strawberries from our favorite farms like Lois’ Produce and Westmoreland Berry Farm, both in the Northern Neck of VA, are coming in by the truck full… and we couldn’t be happier to see them. I visited both farms a couple of weeks ago to meet the farmers and check out their gorgeous fields. Strawberry plants are lovely with their tiny white flowers… but even better is when those red jewels are piled high on Sweetflow or eaten with Mountain View Farm feta, mint and local asparagus in our new May Salad! Come in and taste what your local farms have to offer… before they are gone ’til next spring!
