Today U.S. Royalty launched their highly anticipated debut album “Mirrors.”  We share their excitement since we go way back- the band played our block party in 2009, and both the sweetlife festival and the Logan Circle grand opening in 2010.  It has been a year in the making and this DC band is about to blow up!  Here are some of our favorites off the album:

We are really excited to share the official new single, “Equestrian”, from friends and Sweetlife 2010 headliner US Royalty. Congrats to John, Paul, Jake, Luke and the whole USR family on the official release! We can’t wait for the whole album to drop later this Fall. What a day! Our sincerest thanks go out to everyone who joined us at the sweetlife festival in Dupont Circle on Saturday! Despite the cloudy skies, the rain held off and the crowd grew steadily throughout the afternoon and evening. Over 750 people stopped by to enjoy the energetic atmosphere. With the success of this first festival under our belts, we’re already dreaming big for next year. Until then, stay tuned for additional coverage and keep living the sweetlife!

After playing our block party in October and our Logan Circle launch party in February, US Royalty is coming back for more. This time, you’ll catch them rocking out on the sweetlife festival stage rather than on our reclaimed wood benches. Scroll down, check out their awesome music video for “Every Summer”, and get that “sweetlife-festival-is-less-than-a-week-away” countdown started!

Fun fact: if there were a salad named “US Royalty”, it would be a lively mixture of romaine lettuce, spinach, feta cheese, asparagus (sautéed in oil and spices), shrimp, red pepper, sunflower seeds, olive oil and a squeeze of lemon.
