The Four Horsemen Debut @ Solly’s Tavern

If you attended the Sweetgreen Barcode Block Party back in October, you probably remember the epic performance put on by our friends US Royalty. This evening at Solly’s Tavern, John and Paul Thornley of US Royalty, Matthew Hemerlein and Ryan Mitchell will debut a new collaboration: The Four Horsemen. While the demo track “Karenina” and event flyer that follow have already made their way to a few DC blogs, we are pumped to announce something that hasn’t: members of The Four Horsemen/US Royalty will be rocking a show for sweetgreen sometime in the not-so-distant future.  (How’s that for a cryptic broadcast?) In the meantime, turn up your speakers, hit play and let the sounds of the ukulele and violin inspire you.

This past Sunday, sweetgreen threw an awesome block party in Dupont Circle.  Over 200 people showed up for the launch of our BARCODE_ campaign and to celebrate the coming of the fall harvest.  US Royalty had an epic performance as the sun set and Chris Burns and Ari of Beautiful Swimmers spun funky jams that were perfect for the crowd.  Check out all the photos below and be sure to scan our barcodes to for possible prizes and giveaways in the future.

the sweetflow mobile has finally debuted! our retro-yogurt travelling party had a test run this weekend and is going to cruise the streets this week in preparation for our official sweetflow mobile summer block party this Saturday, June 6th. the sweetgreen team celebrated the beautiful weather and an early Earth Day this past Saturday with a block party and menu planting at our new Dupont location. We set up our DJ equipment and speakers outside and rocked out to some funky tunes while friends and customers came by to chill out and plant some of our menus, which have California Wildflowers embedded in them!
