Cold War Kids is a rock quartet based in Long Beach, California but with a southern vibe. Their music is nostalgic, evoking the sounds from the height of the blues-rock era. These strong roots inspire their music but in no way define it. Cold War Kids have variability in their songs ranging from pop to soulful vignettes. Their tempo is always interesting to follow as it can start off slow and dragging and suddenly snap into a fast pace. Their catchiness, pounding drums and strong guitar riffs make for powerful notes and a heart-pounding concert.
