All Things Go music mondays premier!
February 7, 2011
We are thrilled to announce the premier of music mondays brought to you by All Things Go. Here is a list of some great tracks to get your week started off right.
1) ANR – “Big Problem”
Miami natives and ATG favorites ANR dropped a brand new song, “Big Problem,” over at Fader yesterday. Brian and Michael-John’s latest has all the elements of a straightforward, guaranteed dance-worthy jam plus plenty of that space-disco vibe we’ve come to love. Stay Kids drops March 15th on 10K Islands.
2) Superhumanoids – “Hey Big Bang”
Superhumanoids are a four piece, LA-based band that popped up on my radar a few months ago during our interview with Local Natives. Influences such as The Beach Boys and Talking Heads are blended in with contemporary sounds comparable to Cold War Kids and Twin Sister. There is a certain dream pop element, but Superhumanoids are able to escape the bedroom and embrace the more developed and polished studio sound.
3) DeVotchka – “One Hundred Other Lovers”
“One Hundred Other Lovers” is everything we’ve come to expect from the Denver-based outfit: eclectic instrumentation, timelessly fluid melodies, and interesting sonic effects. With the reversed flutes, hand drums, and plucked violins, the first single feels so comfortable and reminiscent upon first listen.
4) Ellie Goulding – “Lights (WIRED Dubstep Remix)”
WIRED’s dubstep remix of Ellie Goulding’s gem “Lights” is one of the most superb uses of dubstep out there. It makes me believe that dubstep is more than just “waoohh waooh waah woooohs” added to a normal song; WIRED’s remix is a piece of art.
5) Toro Y Moi – “New Beat”
