This apple butter and bacon twist on Brussels sprouts is sure to make your mouth water!
|4 cups||Brussels sprouts (washed, dried and halved)|
|1 tbsp||apple butter (we use Black Rock Orchard)|
|½ tbsp||olive oil|
|6 strips||bacon (pork)|
|½ tbsp||garlic salt|
Preheat oven to 400°F.
On a baking sheet, cook bacon until crispy and the fat has rendered (keep this on the side).
Place bacon strips on a paper towel for a few minutes, then chop into ½ inch pieces.
In a mixing bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, apple butter, olive oil and bacon drippings (yes, that’s right!). Make sure all Brussels sprouts are evenly coated. Spread out on a baking sheet.
Cook for 25-30 minutes or until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Add bacon crumbles.
Sprinkle garlic salt evenly while Brussels sprouts are still warm.
